Away for two weeks
I'll be going away now for 2 weeks. Some R&R and some arranging and recording.
I'll be back.

New hardware - New webpages
First, I gotta tell you about the cool new monitors and soundcard I bought yesterday. Soundcard: M-Audio Firewire 410. Monitors: Samson Resolve 65a. I'm very happy with both.
Secondly, a new page is up. It's a radio page showing the radio stations you can hear me on. Hopefully it will grow a bit soon - radio promotion is hard work.

Added some ads
To generate more traffic I have joined a link network called LinkShare and there will be some - hopefully unobtrusive - ads displayed at the bottom of my pages.

Bandgathering and Radiopromo
Two things happening at the moment. Firstly: get a band together. I put out a couple of ads and got a good response. So good, actually - that I'm at a choice for some of the positions. So that's going well.
Then there's the radio promotion. Not going so well - there are a lot of people on vacation and/or at different festivals and hard to get to. Also I have a limited time during the day in which to make phonecalls, since I have a dayjob to look after too. But anyway: it's only a bit over a week since I sent it out - guess I'm expecting too much too soon.
I'll set up a page when I get some confirmed radio stations playlisting the single.

Love me or not
Vocals on my second single "Love Me or Not" is in. This is a several years old song I did with SimpelTen. 2-3 hours work nailed them good.

Last video shoot
We did some more shoots for the Take Two and Call Me in the Morning video today. Lots of smoke, guitars and a grand piano. Looks great.

Packing
So - we packed roughly 140 envelopes with promo CDs of "Take Two and Call Me in the Morning" and went to the postoffice thinking it would be a simple task to get them sent. But no - Norwegian Postal Services don't provide such service as actually get the envelopes stamped. We had to buy stamps and put them on ourselves.
Funny thing is: this is exactly what Take Two and Call Me in the Morning is about - how the drive for profit results in poorer service. Only it's more dramatic with hospitals.
